Event Security Services
Our professional trained, government licensed security staff team is available to assist and monitor your on-campus event to ensure a safe and successful event. Our team and management have developed an excellent working relationship with the University of Guelph Campus Police to provide the upmost protection to your group at all times during your event.
We can accommodate a wide variety of security services including crowd control, licensed event security including upholding University and Liquor License Act regulations, perimeter and building surveillance, admission services, large venue security monitoring, concert security service.

Lounge Fees
Lounges are available at no cost with a minimum of $100 food and beverage service order or book the lounge without food and beverage service for $35/hour.
Brass Taps VENUE RENTALS
The entire campus pub is available for you to host your next private event or party!
Our private rentals include full food and beverage service staff, event planning support, and up to six hours of rental time for a fixed rental rate of $495 + HST.
Looking to host a large group event or party without having a private event? No problem! We accept large group reservations up to 140 people at no cost with dedicated quality service and planning support. Contact us today to check availability and begin planning your event.
The Keg Lounge
Named in honour of the original name of The Brass Taps Pub, the lounge offers:
A private fireplace lounge
accommodation for groups up to 24 people
views of the Conservatory Gardens, historic Hutt Building, and Alexander Hall
A 50” HD TV with sound bar
This lounge is ideal for group dinners, meetings, tutorials, hosted learning sessions, and group seated events with pre-order, on-site ordering, and catering services availability.
74 Lounge
In celebration of the 40th Anniversary of The Brass Taps Pub and the opening of the University Centre, the 74 Lounge is a popular multi-purpose private lounge featuring floor to ceiling windows and unique design elements recognizing the university’s commitment to advancing sustainability practices to Improve Life. This lounge is:
A multi-purpose special events lounge (casual socials, private dining experiences, group dinners, engagement and networking socials, and more)
available for both public and private events
equipped with standard table seating & a 50” HD TV
views of the conservatory gardens, Hutt and Alexander Halls
With large sliding glass walls, the lounge can be expanded from a regular capacity of 30 people to welcome up additional guests in the open pub area in front of the lounge.
Boo Sports Lounge
Our new games room is a collaborative space designed in partnership with the Central Student Association (CSA) to offer students and the campus community a fun and inviting space to hang-out.
Equipped with a billiards Table, A fooseball Table, and our campus-made arcade with a variety of classic and student-made video games.
includes a 82” HD TV with direct connect panel to hook up your device or gaming console
open to the public during regular business hours and available for reservation at no cost for student groups.
